Purchasing

Does Zyris offer payment terms?

Yes, click here to apply for Net 30 payment terms.

What is the difference between the warranty that comes with the system and the one you can buy?

The Isolite systems all come with a one-year warranty that covers manufacturer defects only. Damage to a system by you or your staff is not covered.

We offer an extended warranty option, giving you a two-year extension beyond the one-year manufacturer’s warranty. The extended warranty provides “no-fault” coverage and will allow for repair or replacement (in the event it can’t be repaired), at no additional charge to you.

Isolite Mouthpieces

What sizes of mouthpieces should I buy?

We suggest that for your first order you limit your mouthpiece orders to 4 boxes per system.

  • For a pediatric practice office, we suggest 2 pediatric boxes and 2 extra small boxes.
  • For a general practice office, we suggest 2 medium boxes and 2 small boxes.

Once you have determined what sizes you would like, simply visit our store to order more.

Are the Mouthpieces interchangeable between the Isolite systems?

The Mouthpieces are designed to be used with all of our isolation systems.

What does the mouthpiece do?

Our patented dental mouthpiece is where illumination, isolation, and aspiration all become one.

Zyris’ proprietary and patented Mouthpieces are constructed of a soft, flexible polymer to be easily placed in the patient’s mouth, adjust to the unique morphology of each patient, and to provide the patient with the most comfort. Its safety advantages and ease of use will boost your practice’s efficiency, results and patient satisfaction.

When the Mouthpiece is put in place, the patient’s cheek and tongue are automatically retracted and protected, resulting in an immediate decrease in the risk of patient injury. The Mouthpiece obturates the entrance to the throat, minimizing the chance of debris aspiration which makes the patient more comfortable and provides the additional benefit of being able to monitor the patient’s airway. The Mouthpiece’s thick construction provides an extra layer of protection from dental instruments and controls the patient’s tongue. The patient can comfortably rest their jaw thanks to the built-in bite block, and you have free access to both the upper and lower quadrants. And because the Mouthpiece is single-use, patient cross-contamination is eliminated.

In addition, the Mouthpiece has bilateral multi-quadrant evacuation to keep the field dry and reduce humidity and aerosols.

How quickly can you place the mouthpiece?

Easy to place and comfortable for the patient, the Isolite Mouthpiece can be placed and removed in only a few seconds. We suggest that you practice your Mouthpiece placement technique before trying it on patients. Guides for Mouthpiece placement are included in the Instructions For Use and are also available online here. The best way to ensure success and patient compliance with the Isolite Mouthpiece is to understand the correct sizing and placement technique. Of course, if you would like additional help with instructions or technique we are always glad to help!

Do the mouthpieces contain latex?

No. The Mouthpieces are hypoallergenic, and do not contain natural rubber latex.

Are the mouthpieces comfortable?

Yes! When sized correctly, patients experience increased comfort. It gives them a place to rest their jaw and they no longer worry about aspiring anything or their tongue or cheek being injured. They relax.

Do Mouthpieces come in different sizes?

Yes. Isolite Mouthpieces are available in six anatomically and morphologically correct sizes to accommodate every patient, from children to the elderly: Pediatric, Extra Small, Small, Medium, Medium DV (Deep Vestibule), and Large.

Our Mouthpieces are constructed of a soft, flexible polymer to be easily placed in the patient’s mouth, adjust to the unique morphology of each patient, and to provide the patient with the most comfort.

Are your mouthpieces autoclavable?

No. The Isolite Mouthpieces are single-use only.

Our Mouthpieces are constructed of a soft, flexible polymer to be easily placed in the patient’s mouth, adjust to the unique morphology of each patient, and to provide the patient with the most comfort. This type of soft and flexible material is porous and we do not know of any effective protocol that guarantees that an autoclave cycle can properly sterilize any foreign matter that may be absorbed into the pores of the mouthpiece.

To ensure the patient and practitioners that there is zero chance of cross-contamination and to comply with advanced infection control protocols our mouthpieces are one-time use and must be discarded after every patient.

Dental Isolation Systems

What are the primary benefits of using an Isolite to control the oral environment?

The Isolite systems provide several key benefits when establishing this standard:

  1. Continuous aspiration via HVE. This reduces operatory airborne aerosols.
  2. Increased visibility. The nearly transparent Isolite Mouthpiece allows complete visibility of the entire oral field. When using an Isolite system, the patient’s oral cavity is illuminated from within the mouth, providing a unique, shadowless illumination that benefits both practitioner and patient.
  3. Quick, reliable isolation. The Isolite Mouthpiece enables total control of the oral environment, and Isolite is the leading dental system that delivers continuous retraction, protection and suction in a single device.
  4. Faster procedures. Dentists, dental assistants and hygienists using Isolite’s family of dental isolation products have reported reduced procedure times of 20-50%, making the entire practice more productive.
  5. Better ergonomics. Practitioners tell us they enjoy dentistry more when using our products. Hygienists and technicians tell us our products have extended their careers by reducing fatigue during daily procedures.
How is the illumination better with Isolite?

By lighting the patient’s oral cavity from within the mouth, Isolite, our flagship product, provides a unique shadowless illumination that is unmatched. Unlike conventional lighting, light emanating from the Isolation Mouthpiece cannot be blocked by practitioners’ head or hands. Clear, bright illumination reduces eyestrain for the practitioner and allows better visibility of the working field. Strain associated with headlamps or movement of the overhead lamp are greatly reduced or eliminated.

Dental Procedures

What types of procedures are appropriate for Isolite Systems?

Using the Isolite Mouthpiece in combination with all Isolite® systems allows dental practitioners to treat almost all dental procedures where quick, reliable isolation is needed. Click here to see a list of commonly performed procedures.

Training

What is training? Do I have to go through training?

Your investment in our system includes comprehensive training for your dental team.

We offer two training sessions.

  • The first training is focused on system installation and maintenance. The purpose of this training is to ensure you or your tech team knows how to: connect the system to your current HVE system and clean and maintain the system so that it complies with your existing Infection Control Protocol.
  • The second training is focused on educating your team. The purpose is to train your whole team on how to select the correct size mouthpiece for each patient, and most importantly, teach your team the correct mouthpiece insertion technique for optimal patient comfort and acceptance.

We are committed to your success and ensuring your team and your patients have a positive experience with your new Isolite purchase.

Installation

How does this connect to my chair/delivery system?

The Isolite Pro connects directly to an available HVE port on your solids trap. If you do not have an available HVE port, the system comes with an adapter that allows you to connect the systems and your existing HVE line to your trap.

For the Isolite Core and Core+, the control head attaches to the top of your existing HVE line. Simply remove the HVE control nozzle and insert the Isolite. If you have an Adec, Sirona or Pelton & Crane delivery system, you will need to purchase an adapter that connects to the coupler at the end of your HVE hose.

Do I have to hire a tech to come install the system?

You do not have to hire a technician to install your new systems.

All of our systems come with a comprehensive personalized training program that is done online through the Zoom online conference software. We will help you each step of the way as you install our products.

For a basic installation, it takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to connect the system to your chair.
